The Pogues - "Sally Mac Lennane" [i finally got my hands on a copy of rum, sodomy and the lash and i adore it.]
Uncle Tupelo - "Gun" [from the underrated still feel gone]
Sixteen Horsepower - "My Narrow Mind" [from the olden rarities collection]
Josh Rouse - "Rise" [a dynamic ending song from his new album, 1972]
Drive-by Truckers - "Marry Me" [their new single and definitely one of the highlights from their show on the 11th a the orange peel in asheville]
Superchunk - "The Majestic" [from the new b-sides and singles collection.]

Tift Merritt - "When I Cross Over" [by request. the beautiful closing song from her remarkably mature bramble rose album]
Dawn Chorus - "The Ocean is Wide" [by request. a local greensboro band that is kicking up quite a stir for their forthcoming album. keep your ears out]
PJ Harvey - "C'Mon Billy"
Mary Johnson - "Shake Me" [what an infant says to his/her au pair. not really. but mary is a former guilford college student and this is a lovely song]
Bob Dylan - "She Belongs to Me"
Pretty Girls Make Graves - "The Grandmother Wolf" [another top 25 album contender. solid rock]
The Mekons - "Blow Your Tuneless Trumpet" [i'm rather obsessed with their the mekons rock 'n' roll album]
Depeche Mode - "Policy of Truth" [and then this song was stuck in my head all day. i love depeche mode]
Afghan Whigs - "Gentlemen" [these guys slay me. positively]
The Pixies - "Velouria"
The Church - "Russian Autumn Heart" [from gold afternoon fix]
Del Amitri - "The Last Love Song" [from their b-sides collection, lousy with love]
Social Distortion - "Let It Be Me"
